"Vyunok" is a training complex that allows receiving radio signals from spacecraft. It is based on the so-called software-defined radio. This means that such operations as filtering and demodulation of radio signals are performed mainly by software, not by electronic filters and devices, as in "conventional" receivers. This makes it possible to receive completely different signals with the same receiver using suitable programs.
The complex includes two stationary antennas for the bands 136...146 and 435...438 MHz, a radio receiver, and a station operator's workstation (PC).
Reception of the following types of radio signals is available:
- telegraph radio signals, which allow,
- images from weather satellites NOAA, Meteor-M,
- telemetry from about 50 satellites, including the SPUTNIKS spacecraft in orbit,
- SSTV - small images from amateur radio satellites.
Recommended at the rate of 1 station per educational site. There are requirements to the site for installation (on request).
PC for work is included in the set. Necessary software is attached. Methodological materials are available online.
