OrbiCraft 3D is an educational platform-designer of nanosatellites for studying the principles of satellite engineering and spacecraft motion. The constructor allows you to:
- to work out orientation and stabilization algorithms using flywheel motors and sensors;
- to work out the reception and transmission of information on the VHF radio channel, imitation of directional radio communication;
- simulate the process of remote sensing of the Earth;
- design a payload based on Arduino Mega, connect Troyka modules;
- to practice programming skills, sensor calibration, data processing from different types of sensors.
3-5 students can work with one set.
The three-axis configuration is designed for testing missions on a test bench-a stand of semi-natural SOS modeling. The three-axis configuration is distinguished by the presence of 3 flywheels, the planes of rotation of which are mutually orthogonally arranged, and a composite solar sensor that allows you to determine the direction of the Sun along two axes.
You will need a PC or laptop to work. The necessary software is attached.
