The small stand of semi-natural modeling is designed for testing systems of orientation and stabilization of nanosatellites, as well as for training sessions and technical competitions with the designer of the OrbiCraft 3D satellite.
The devices included in the stand simulate the impact on the object of research of the main factors of outer space necessary for the functioning of sensors and executive bodies of the orientation and stabilization system: free rotation around the center of mass, alternating magnetic field, solar radiation flux.
The stand allows you to:
- to carry out functional tests and optimization of the software of the orientation and stabilization system (SOS),
- to reduce the risk of incorrect operation of the satellite in orbit,
- to teach practical skills of spacecraft motion control,
- to simulate and work out emergency situations.
- verify the model after computer simulation.
In turn, verification of the model after computer modeling is necessary to:
- eliminate errors in the installation of sensors and executive bodies,
- take into account the accuracy of the installation of sensors and executive bodies,
- to conduct a simulation taking into account real errors and sensor noise,
- to determine the real moments of inertia of the device.
